The Cockpit
Leeds’ legendary music venue has been well and truly rockin’ for the last 15 years! Over the years it has seen notorious performances from the likes of Amy Winehouse, The Kaiser Chiefs and MGMT. In recent years Doves, Bloc Party and Mika have all graced the main stage maintaining its reputation as the must-play venue of the North. Gigs take place on the three stages most nights of the week showcasing bands from the Leeds music scene to an international level. Club nights follow the live music on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays where you'll hear the best of Indie, Rock, Electro, Guitars, Metal, Skate-Punk and much more.
A previous winner of Radio 1’s Live Music Venue of the Year, independently run The Cockpit is characterised by its distinctive curved ceilings; being built underneath a series of three railway arches.
The Cockpit has been a venue of choice for every Live at Leeds festival and last year saw epic performances from Future of the Left and iLikeTrains amongst many many more.
